As we proceed into 2025, the printing ink industry continues to be a fascinating industry to watch.

Inks play a major role in our lives, whether it is for packaging, publications, the clothes we wear, the images we see and wherever printing plays a part in our lives.

Ink World’s “State of the Industry” survey sought to identify the most pertinent trends and challenges throughout the industry and the supply chain. We surveyed more than 300 industry professionals, from ink manufacturers and printers to suppliers and distributors. Nearly half (48%) or our responders came from the ink producers, with 37% from suppliers and distributors and 15% from printers. These findings have allowed us to gain a greater understanding of where the industry has been over the past few years, and where we expect it to go in the future.
